Equipment What Do We Have?ITAM offers various items of equipment to be used by faculty, staff and students. We have audio cassette players/recorders, digital still cameras, digital video cameras, PC and Macintosh laptop computers, slide projectors and their accessories, and VHS video cameras. Equipment may be reserved in advance since we have a limited number of items to loan, and reservations take precedence over walk-in requests. We also rent out sound equipment. How Do I checkout this equipment?Audio Cassettes and Slide ProjectorsAudio cassette players/recorders, slide projectors, slide projector remotes, and projector carousels can be checked out though our circulation desk. These can be checked out for 5 days. We can provide Sound Grabber (tm) microphones for audio cassette recording upon request. CamerasDigital still cameras, digital video
cameras, and standard VHS video
cameras can be checked out by ITAM staff. If
you would like to check out a camera you can speak with the
worker
at our circulation desk and they will direct you to the proper
person. Questions concerning cameras
should be directed to our Services
Coordinator. LaptopsWe have both PC and Macintosh laptops. These all have wireless capabilities and can connect to the campus wireless system. They have Microsoft Word and Power Point as well as many other frequently used programs. The PC laptops are running Windows 2000 and the Macintosh laptops are running OSX. If you would like to checkout a laptop, the worker at our circulation desk can direct you to the proper person. Since we have a limited number of computers, we recommended that you reserve a computer at least a week in advance. You can reserve a computer by contacting our Services Coordinator. Laptops can be checked out on Tuesdays and Fridays from 1-4pm. Laptops can be checked out for 3 days with 1 renewal if the computer hasn't been reserved. All laptops are due by NOON on the due date. |
