Earlham College seeks to hire a scenic and lighting designer/instructor with a commitment to teaching undergraduates. This entry-level, one-year replacement position is an excellent opportunity for recent recipients of graduate degrees interested in college teaching to gain experience in our small and vibrant theatre program. This is a 2/3-time position with benefits. Employment begins on July 1, 2017, and classes begin on August 23, 2017.
Teaching each semester includes one academic course and applied theatre labs working with theatre arts majors and non-majors alike. Production work includes design of one production each semester.
The College is searching for applicants with a recent design MFA and/or Ph.D. emphasizing scenic design and lighting design, who are eager to work with young and enthusiastic theatre artists.
