On-Campus Opportunities

The Earlham Word

Earlham's community newspaper, The Earlham Word, is published every Friday. An entirely student-run publication, The Word provides students opportunities to serve as reporters, copy editors, page designers, graphic artists, section editors, photographers, and supervising editors. Students also handle all advertising, circulation and business functions of the paper. Students enrolled in the news writing course submit several stories to The Word. Students in the news editing and design course prepare photos for publication and lay out pages for the newspaper as part of their work in that course. Students may receive academic credit for their work with the newspaper or be paid through their work-study allowance.

WECI

WECI is a volunteer-operated, community radio station located at Earlham. Students interested in broad-casting can gain on-air experience at this listener-supported radio station.
