Plan of Study

General Education Requirements

The Program offers three courses that fulfill the Domestic component of the Perspectives on Diversity Requirement, LGST 346, 348 and 367, and two courses that fulfill the International component of this requirement, LGST 372 and 373.

The Minor

The Minor requires any four of the following courses:

  • LGST 260 Law and Politics

  • LGST 270 Philosophy of Law

  • LGST 346 Constitutional Law I: Institutions and Democracy

  • LGST 348 Constitutional Law II: Civil Rights and Civil Liberties

  • LGST 372 International Law I: Sovereignty, Humanitarian Law and Human Rights

  • LGST 373 International Law II: Interdependence, Environment and Globalization

and any two courses from the following:

  • ECON 341 Labor Economics

  • HIST 361 Young Republic

  • HIST 367 Women and Men in American Society

  • PHIL 120 and 121 Philosophical Inquiry

  • PHIL 160 Dialectic and Dialogue in Philosophy

  • POLS 107 Introduction to International Relations

  • POLS 366 American Political Thought
