Earlham participates in The Chronicle of Higher Education's contracted advertising plan. By agreeing to place a specified number of print display ads during a calendar year, the College receives a discount on advertising space and can post an Employer Profile at the Chronicle's Web site. Each print advertisement includes a 30-day Web posting of the position. The Employer Profile is updated each year and lessens the need for Search Committees to repeat general College information within individual department's position advertisements. In addition it enables us to provide links to Earlham's Website for even more information.
Earlham uses Chronicle advertising to supply its required print ad for its hiring procedures as described in the Faculty Search Manual. To count toward our contracted number of ads with the Chronicle per year, all ads must be processed through the Marketing and Communications Office. Only ads coming through Marketing and Communications may be counted toward our contract. Earlham's typical display ads measure one column wide by 5 inches high.
For Teaching Faculty Positions: Once the position has received the approval of the Academic Dean, contact the Web Editor to post the job at Earlham's Employment Opportunities site. The Web Editor will work with you to keep the College's approach to the postings consistent and to meet your recruitment needs.
For Administrative Faculty Positions: Send your position announcement/job description to the Human Resources Office. The Human Resources Office and the Web Editor will work with you to keep the College's approach to the postings consistent and to meet your recruitment needs.
