Biography
I grew up in the Midwest and was the first member of my family to complete college. I am delighted that I stumbled into a liberal arts education. My PhD is in Entomology and I studied the molecular basis of the insect defense response. I love gardening and do search and rescue work as a hobby (with a cadaver dog).
Research Projects
I have a contract with a publisher to produce a series of exercises for use in an introductory cell and molecular biology course.
Professional Memberships
I am a member of Phi Beta Kappa and serve on the committee that helps determine whether a campus should receive a chapter.
