Spiritual Practices of Friends:

Michael Birkel is teaching the fall 2011 course in Quaker spiritual practices, with almost twenty students representing many parts of our student body. Michael explains, “The focus of Friends Colloquium changes every time it is offered. The focus this semester is on Quaker spiritual practices. We’ve been exploring Meeting for Worship, queries, discernment, and Clearness Committees; we are now turning to journal keeping. We are fortunate to have such engaged students in the class and the spirits are high!”
