Japanese Studies Presents: “HAFU:ハーフ”

HAFUHafu means someone of half Japanese and half other descent.  The film documents the daily lives and experiences of five Hafu who have either lived most of their lives in Japan or are visiting for the first time in an effort to learn more about their Japanese heritage. Winner of the Best Documentary Award at the Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival, Hafu has been shown in London, Japan, Mexico, and USA.  Following the screening, film producer Megumi Nishikura leads a discussion.
