Students and community members present traditional Indonesian music on Earlham’s magnificent central Javanese bronze gamelan. A gamelan is a large set of melodic percussion instruments led by drums that can also include a bowed lute, a plucked zither, a bamboo flute and singers. For this concert the group will be lead by Heri Purwanto, a visiting artist-in-residence from Java.
Free admission, no tickets required.
