Earlhamite Dinner with Current Students ( Sun, Mar 15, 2015 ) Dear Earlhamite, In a few weeks, a dozen students and I will participate in the Friends Committee on National Legislation’s Spring Lobby Weekend in Washington, D.C. on the topic of climate change legislation. You are invited to join me, the students, and other Earlhamites for dinner the evening of Sunday, March 15, 2015. It is so valuable for current Earlham students to meet and connect with alumni like you. It gives students a chance to learn what life and work after Earlham may be like. Students are often surprised to learn that Earlham graduates are glad to talk with them and may sometimes have ideas for internships or other opportunities. In particular, this group of students are keenly interested in the political system and public policy. They would be interested to know why you have chosen to live in or near Washington, D.C., and about the ways your career, volunteer service or other activities intersect with local, national and international politics. Attending this dinner will also give you the opportunity to meet or catch up with fellow alumni in the D.C. area. Quaker House (on the grounds of the Friends Meeting of Washington near Florida Ave.) 2121 Decatur Place NW Washington, D.C. 20008 Sunday, March 15, 2015 6:30-8:30 p.m. $15 per person; please RSVP online by March 12.
