Israel-Palestine
Faculty/Alumni Trip
June
25 - July 8, 2006
Program Description:
Welcome to a peace-focused trip to Israel and
Palestine, offered for Earlham faculty, alumni and friends who seek
a better understanding of the current realities on the ground in
Israel and Palestine. For some these two weeks will be their first
encounter with the complexities of the Israel/Palestine conflict,
while for others it will be a chance to build on what they have
learned in Earlham’s Great Lakes Jerusalem Program. While
we will visit some of the major religious, historical and cultural
sites, this trip will be politically centered, with considerable
time spent with persons whose lives have been shaped by decades
of conflict and who long for a better future. Our own lives have
also been shaped by our experiences with Israelis and Palestinians,
and we look forward to sharing our passion and experience with you
as we build that special community that is always formed on trips
such as the one you will be joining. ~ June and Tony Bing
