May 1 Faculty
Meeting -- Interim Report and Discussion
We reviewed and
revised draft materials for the May 1 Faculty Meeting - a preface, key
considerations for improving our strategic position (performance/importance
matrix), implications for short-term action, and setting fund-raising
priorities for medium-term action. Kirsten agreed to make the noted
changes and forward the final materials to the faculty clerk for distribution.
We agreed that
we would share the Faculty Meeting materials with students over the
summer -- probably an email to students' EC accounts in May. We may
work with Student Government to facilitate this. Tamara (and the rest
of us) will think further about how best to engage with the student
body next year.
Future Meetings
· Wednesday,
May 1 from 2:30 till 4:00 p.m. (Teague)
· Monday, May 13 from 9:00 a.m. till 3:00 p.m. (712 College Avenue)
- Kirsten to prepare bibliography of data we've gathered from various
sources (focus groups, etc.)
· Monday, May 20 (for the morning - exact times and location
TBD)
· Friday, August 16 from 3:00 p.m. onward (location TBD)
We noted our new
work timetable would allow us to present a final report to the Board
of Trustees at its October meeting.
We approved minutes
for April 24.

be Wed., May 1 at 2:30 p.m. in Teague Library.
