Facilities

All residence facilities are coed. There are specific floors in residence halls set aside to accommodate those students who prefer single-gender housing.


Fines/Charges for Violations of Residence Life Policies

Pulling a false fire alarm $500.00 plus fees
Disabling/tampering with fire
protection equipment
$500.00 plus fees
Failure to leave a building
during a fire alarm
$100.00
Policy violation that results in
activation of a false fire alarm
$500.00 plus fees
Candles, incense, smoking or
any items with an open flame or exposed heating element — which includes leaving stove/oven burners on.
$500.00 plus damages
Violation of the extension
cord policy

Propping open any exterior door $100.00
Violation of roof policy $500.00
Converting common space
to individual living space
$50.00 per day
Excessive mess left when
moving out
$50.00 min.
plus labor costs
Living in College-owned housing not assigned by the Office of Residence Life; charge per day after being asked to move. $100.00 min.
Returning early or staying late in College-owned housing without permission. $50.00 plus per day occupancy charge
Violation of pet policy $50.00 per day
Screen removal $50.00 plus labor
Failure to remove personal items
after vacating the room
$50.00 min. plus labor
Bed disassembly $50.00 min. plus labor
Removing furniture from individual rooms or common areas $50.00 min. plus labor
Destruction/damage to College property; cost of repair or replacement $50.00 min. plus labor

Splicing into or connecting to Internet or television cable (or any other form wiring)

$100.00 per room

Participating in sports in a common area and the cost of any related damages (i.e., soccer, skateboarding, frisbee, football, etc.)

$25.00 per person
