Student Employment
Two types of jobs are available to Earlham College
students: On-Campus Workstudy and Off-Campus Workstudy positions.
To find out what
positions are currently available, check the listings at the
Career Development Center or you may go to their new Web database,
eRecruiting, at
earlham.erecruiting.com. Log in with username
ECworkstudy, and the password quaker. From this site you can
review all of the available On- and Off-Campus Workstudy positions
according to the Career Development Center.
On-Campus Workstudy positions are part of a student’s
financial aid package. You must have been granted financial aid
from the
Financial Aid Office to be hired into an On-Campus Workstudy position.
These positions can be found with almost any department on campus.
So, if you are interested in working for a particular department,
contact that department directly. Or, come to the Career Development
Center to look at the entire list.
Off-Campus Workstudy positions
are service internships within the Richmond community. Again, you
must be granted a workstudy
position
through Financial Aid to apply for these positions. If you would
like to be more involved in the service community and develop your
skills at the same time, an Off-Campus Workstudy position affords
a perfect way to do just that. Contact the Service Learning Office
or the Career Development Center for a listing of positions.
A limited number of Non-Workstudy positions are
available on campus. Some of these positions include tutors, teaching
assistants, public
affairs copy-writers, certified lifeguards and food service positions.
To find out about these positions, contact departments directly
or the Career Development Center for available positions.
If you are still having trouble finding employment,
you can leave your name and phone number with the Career Development
Center.
The Center passes students’ names along when offices call
to post an opening. |
