EARLHAM PARTICIPATES IN DAVIS UNITED WORLD SCHOLARS PROGRAM
Earlham, which joins institutions such as Princeton University and Wellesley College as a “cluster school” in the Davis United World College Scholars Program, is featured prominently on the Davis Web site’s home page. Beginning in 2008, students at cluster schools qualify for a grant of up to $20,000 per scholar, a wonderful opportunity for UWC students at Earlham. International Admissions Director Musa Khalidi says that what both draws and keeps world students here is the College’s Quaker-based focus on openness and mutual support. Considering New Solutions to the World's Problems
The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace has named Sam McCormally a Junior Fellow for the 2007-2008 academic year. The senior from Herndon, Va., returns to the nation’s capitol where he will have a chance to influence U.S. policymakers at a prestigious think tank.

No Child Left Behind?
An op-ed by David Keyes ‘02 titled “Classroom Caste System” was published in the April 9 edition of The Washington Post. Now a second-grade teacher at Bel Pre Elementary School in Silver Spring, Md., the Earlham alumnus asks members of Congress to “consider the unintended consequence of the act: a new gap between poor and minority students.”

"100 Projects for Peace" Plus One
Seniors Bethany Rochelle Leeman, Jamie-Rose Rothenberg and Behar Xharra will promote peace this summer with ambitious grant-funded projects of their own devising. Wanting to make a difference in the larger world, the $10,000 awards are “a dream come true.”
