USA Today notes in a May 29 editorial that Earlham’s Doug Bennett is among a group of college presidents stepping forward to take a collective stand against the US News & World Report rankings. Earlier, a letter from The Education Conservancy helped unite the presidents.

An All-American Performance by Walker Yane

Passing half the field, Walker Yane placed eighth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the NCAA Division III Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships on May 25. The recent graduate is Earlham’s first NCAA Division III All-American in men’s track and field.

Walker Yane is the North Coast Athletic Conference’s Middle Distance/Distance Runner of the Year in men’s track and field. The senior captured first place in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the NCAC Outdoor Championships on May 4.
