I occasionally direct independent studies in creative writing.
I came to Earlham in 2006 and have worked as a writer and editor for 15 years. My work on EARLHAMITE magazine has earned several awards from the Council for Advancement and Support for Education (CASE), Region V. Also the author of more than 25 produced plays, my work has been performed in Canada, England and across the U.S. My published plays are available from Playscripts, Inc. and Heartland Plays.
My most recent plays are: THE END OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT (on facing a world that's not what you expected) THE BOY WHO LOVED MONSTERS AND THE GIRL WHO LOVED PEAS (a family audiences play about what happens when wishes come true) STATUS UPDATE (about friendship in the age of Facebook, honored in the Northeast Indiana Playwright Festival) A BRIEF HISTORY OF HOPE (about staying positive in trying times)
