Assistant Professor of Art
Metals I course seeks to provide a strong foundation in the technical vocabulary and skills of working with metals, while introducing the idea of making wearable objects such as multiple layered brooch, and hollow formed ring project. Craft and attention to detail are essential to each project completed for this course. Students will explore metal as a medium of personal aesthetic expression and develop skills and a technical competency in working with metals. Students will be provided the opportunity to explore metal's relationship to other art forms and to expand their awareness of historical and contemporary movements in metal.
