Biography

Welling Hall is listed on the Fulbright Specialist Roster and earned an American Political Science Association (APSA) Congressional Fellowship. She spent a recent sabbatical year working on Capitol Hill in the office of Congressman Keith Ellison (D-MN) and teaches a course entitled “Legislative Toolkit” that helps students to connect their academics to effective engagement with the legislative process. She has also led May Term trips to the U.N. headquarters in New York City.

“Earlham has always been a place where it is possible to be a pragmatic idealist. That commitment, for me, shapes Earlham as a Quaker institution and it is the reason I have chosen to spend my career here,” she says.
