Public Affairs

Joseph Moore House
Public Affairs communicates the Earlham story — detailing the many ways in which the College is fulfilling its mission — to external and internal audiences. Our work supports the goals of many parts of the College, chiefly student recruitment and fundraising. Public Affairs leads the way in establishing and implementing guidelines for quality in the writing and appearance of College messages.

Our staff interacts with all parts of the campus, providing a number of important services from pursuing national, regional and local media placements to ordering business cards and stationery. You'll find Web content, publications, photography, advertising and graphic design among the services we provide.

Major responsibilities include:

  • Our online Press Room where you'll find up-to-date College news and media placements, podcasts and feeds, historical features, alumni profiles and information about faculty experts and campus events.

  • The College's Web site. Earlham's decentralized approach to Web content puts Public Affairs staff members in touch with all College departments and programs. Also we directly oversee content for the Home Page and hundreds of official institutional Web pages.

  • Along with nearly 300 publications each year, our office creates the Earlhamite alumni magazine.
