Through the NIH Academy, recent college graduates may spend a
year engaged in biomedical investigation at NIH in Bethesda, Maryland.
The mission of the Academy is to enhance research dedicated to
the elimination of domestic health disparities through the development
of a diverse cadre of biomedical researchers.
Program participants work along side some of the leading scientists
in the world. In addition they take part in seminars and workshops
related to their research. The NIH Academy selects only 10 trainees
a year. The Fellowship provides a one-year stipend of $24,000.
