Services for Campus:

Photography

Aerial View of The Heart

• Pictures of our diverse community help tell the Earlham story. Digital photographs are taken for your department’s brochures or projects.

• Through colorful action shots that demonstrate faculty/student engagement, we can encourage prospective students to investigate our campus.

• Consider the uses for your photographs. Due to the costs of these services and time required, clear plans to use photographs in publications and web pages are a must.

• Plan interactive shots of faculty and students, noting their locations and attire. For example, remind students to dress colorfully and not wear other schools’ apparel.

• All photos taken on the day of the shoot are the property of Earlham College. We have immediate access to all of the digital images.

• For more information, please consult the Photography Policies.

Cost

• Public Affairs tries to group requests for photography in order for departments to share the photographer’s charges. However, if you are the sole employer on a given shoot date, you will be responsible for the full charge.

• Sufficient lead time is necessary to enable us to coordinate the photographer’s assignments, saving cost for all departments involved.

• Your department will be charged according to what you request. Supply the 8-digit budget account that we should charge for your project.

• Photography rates are as follows:
Full day (6 hours of shooting) + travel = $436.00
Half day (2 hours of shooting) + travel = $286.00
Film and developing costs will be added, if required.
Print charges depend on quantity and size ordered.

• Photos intended for color publications sometimes require a different set-up. Special lighting, people placement and room arranging might be needed. Costs for these services are:
Full day (6 hours of shooting) + travel = $686.00
Half day (2 hours of shooting) + travel = $386.00

Timeline

• Send an e-mail to Gayle Bryant eight weeks before your event date (or delivery date of your publication) to set shoot schedule. If prints are needed, contact us 10 weeks before the due date.

• Explain any special requests you may have and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Gayle will keep in touch with your department to make the arrangements.
