Students trying to decide which college to attend are increasingly concerned about

what the future holds after graduation. Will I be able to get into a top-flight graduate or professional program? Will I be able to get a good job? The record of Earlham students has been remarkable on both counts for many years.
About twenty-five percent of Earlham seniors attend professional or graduate school immediately after graduation; within five years about eighty percent pursue some form of advanced study. Others go directly into the job market, some to stay, some for only a few years before further study. You will find Earlham graduates working in many fields including the arts, education, business, social services, medical services, government and sciences. A sizeable number of graduates also choose to spend time after graduation performing volunteer service work either nationally or internationally.

From your first year onward, the Career Development Center, through our comprehensive program, will be working with you; encouraging you to explore various pathways and guiding you as you think about your interests, values and abilities. We would like to encourage you to become familiar with the various services you may use to support and enhance your own career development process.
Individual appointments for career counseling, interest testing, internship searching, job planning and other related concerns may be made with the Director or Assistant Director of the Career Development Center.
