About the Department


Outcomes

Students who have majored in Spanish and Hispanic Studies at Earlham have gone on to a variety of careers, including medicine, social work law and education. Graduates have become immigration attorneys, Peace Corps volunteers, teachers at all levels, specialists in bilingual education. Many have become involved in aspects of border issues.

Some spend time living and working abroad. Many go on to graduate school, incoporating their interest in Spanish and Hispanic Studies into various fields. One student, after graduating with a dual major in biology and Spanish, now works at National Public Radio's science and Latin American desks.
