Did you know?

  • All F-1 students are required to discuss any employment, volunteer, and internship plans with their International Student Adviser.
  • All F-1 students who work even a few minutes over 20 hours in one week will have their visa terminated and will be required to leave the United States immediately or pay $300 to apply for reinstatement. Any time over 20 hours in one week is illegal.
  • All F-1 students are required to notify their International Student Adviser of any changes to their college room assignment, academic major, etc. within 10 days of the change.

These are just three examples of regulations that students on F-1 visas are required to know. In order to know what you need to do to stay in status and continue your studies, we strongly recommend that you come to the F-1 Visa Regulations session on Tuesday, August 26th at 4:00pm in LBC 105.
