Mission Statement:
Our community's purpose
is to provide individuals an opportunity to socialize and worship,
and to explore self, humanity,
and spirituality in
a safe environment. Activities include weekly meetings with group
worship
at least once a month, communication with regional UUs, hosting
opportunities to attend the Oxford church on a regular basis,
and
going to
UU conferences.
The purpose of ECUU is to provide interested individuals
an opportunity to socialize, worship, and to explore self, humanity,
and spirituality in a safe environment. Activities include weekly
meetings with monthly worships, communication with regional UU's,
hosting opportunities to attend the Oxford church on a regular
basis, and going to regional UU conventions.
Unitarian Universalism outlines the seven principles
that we hold as the foundation of our mission statement:
1. The inherent worth and dignity of every person
2. Justice, equity and compassion in human relations
3. Acceptance of
one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our
congregations
4. A free and responsible search for truth and meaning
5. The right to
conscience and use of the democratic process within our
congregations and in society at large
6. The goal of world community
with peace, liberty, and justice for all
7. Respect for the interdependent wev of all existence of which
we are a part
