Group Fitness Class Descriptions

Abs & Back Toning: An intense muscle toning class for the abdominals, obliques, and back. This is one of Earlham's most popular Group Fitness classes. If you want a flat stomach, this is your class!

Muscle Pump: An overall body toning class that focuses on leaning your muscles through the use of light-weight barbells, free weights, bands and tubing. This class is great for all fitness levels, especially those wanting to firm their bodies or who want weight-bearing exercise. *Limited to 15 patrons.

Pilates: Pilates is a hot new class that focuses on optimal strength, flexibility, and endurance without adding bulk. This stress-relieving method that has some similarity to Yoga, will help improve posture, create longer-leaner muscles, enhance balance, and increase core mobility along with other muscles around the joints. You'll love this new class!

Spinning: Spinning, is a unique indoor stationary cycling program that is one of the hottest classes in the local community. This class is for people of all ages and fitness levels and is NOT just a "hard-core" fitness program for elite athletes. Although not required, bring your bike shorts, hand towel, and water bottle for this class. *Limited to 15 patrons.

Step Circuit: A workout that alternates between stepping, hi-lo choreography, and sculpting while maintaining cardiovascular intensity. Some serious energy expenditure! *Limited to approximately 15 patrons.

Strength Training On The Ball: Come enhance your posture and improve the strength of your core muscles of the abdomen and back with exercises performed with the stability ball. All fitness levels welcome!

Water Fitness: An upright pool workout that focuses on aerobic intensity and muscle toning for all ages, especially for inactive individuals and senior citizens. Swimming itself is not included in the workout. Join us for a low-to-no-impact workout.

Faculty/Staff/Students:
$50/Fall or Spring Session/$75 Fall AND Spring Session/$40 Summer Session

Faculty/Staff/Student Single Use:

Members and Day Pass Purchasers:
Group fitness classes are FREE
