Sexual Assault Survivors' Advocates

Note: though this program was initiated by AAR in the 1990s, it has now grown into a separate program.

Sexual Assault Survivors' Advocates are students who are trained active listeners and are knowledgeable about options and resources for survivors of sexual assault. They are available to listen ANYTIME day or night and will support you in whatever way is necessary. Whether an experience happened ten years ago or just yesterday, Advocates are willing to listen.

If you are looking for contact information for an Advocate, please refer to the Sexual Assault Survivors' Advocates "bathroom list." The list is available here (as a Word document) as well as outside the AAR office in the basement of Runyan, and they are also posted around Earlham College buildings in bathroom stalls.

If you are interested in learning how to become a Sexual Assault Survivor Advocate, please contact Marya Bower.
