| Created in 1999, The Earlham Anime Club only started
receiving finding from SAB a few years later. We welcome anyone to
our screenings, and endeavor to provide a supportive and jovial
atmosphere. If you are a hardcore anime fan, have a passing interest,
or are completely new, we would love to have you stop by if you are
interested. While we mainly screen selected titles, there is also
discussion about the various shows and about the visual medium in
general. Today, we are located in Dennis 110, where showings take place on Thursday nights at 7:00 PM and last generally until around 10:00 PM. We usually show four anime series per semester, with occasional nights where a short series is shown in its entirety. One such event is the annual Halloween showing around the time of Fall Midsemester Break, where shows in the horror or supernatural genres are screened. The following articles appeared a number of years ago in the Earlham Word newspaper, and while information regarding the co-heads and meeting times is out of date, it provides a good background of the club's starting years: http://word.cs.earlham.edu/issues/XVIII/110102/comm41.html http://word.cs.earlham.edu/issues/XV/020201/ae96.html |
