This is the largest comprehensive encyclopedia of virtually every anime known to man. If you want to know who wrote the music for "Ranma 1/2" or who did the voice of Doraemon in the 1979 show, this is where you would look it up. It has indexes of titles, staff, actors, and producers, as well as a basic rating system.
They were having trouble for a while, but now they're back and better than ever. Has information on just about anything anime- or manga-related that you could ask for. This site has been around since 1995. In terms of anime sites, this is the Grandpappy of all the others. For some of us, looking at the classic layout provides overwhelming feelings of nostalgia.
This page has downloads, screensavers, a Theme Guide, and all sorts of other neat stuff. It now requires a fee to use most of the services, however.
Has all the latest regarding anime and manga over the world. Seems to have taken a break from updating recently.
An archive of all-japanese theme/credit sequences, from series currently being shown in Japan. Rather eccentric. Has not updated since 2003, and features mostly RealMedia clips.
This is the largest general anime discussion forum on Usenet. If you want to see a complete list of anime newsgroups, there is a Master List you can look at. If you want even more comprehensive information on anime newsgroups, MIT keeps track of everything.
