May Term in Telluride:
High Altitude Physiology Research

First we started with
some background
lectures & discussion
on high altitude
physiology and
excercise physiology.
Then we obtained our "baseline" values at
1,000 feet, in
Richmond, IN.
in the lab

Then we drove
and drove
and drove....  


...and drove
(1,500 miles)
to get to
Telluride....

                                                  ...and we even managed to find time for soaking in the view
                                                                                      (while soaking in the hot tub)...

The mountain biking was great on the trails and up to Bridal Veil Falls... as well as Wilson Mesa Trail and others....

And the hiking wasn't so bad either!

And the house wasn't so bad...

...either inside...                                                   ....or outside on the decks!

...but alas, we had to leave & return to Richmond, where we analyzed our data.
