Excursions
are a very important part of the learning process about life on the Border.
The trips are intended to enhance students understanding about the border,
and to take advantage of the natural beauty.
This year, two new excursions were introduced to trip.
On the first new excursion, students travel to the twin cities of Tuscon, Arizona and Nogales, Sonora. Learn more about this excursion by reading Marissa Fisher's postcard to Antioch. On the second newly introduced excursion, the students travel to Mexico City where in addition to learning more about the dynamics of the interior of Mexico, they also meet with numerous human rights organizations as this excursion coincides with the human rights portion of the class entitled, Globalization, the Border, and Human Rights. Read more about this year's excursion to Mexico City.
Excursions to important historical
