The Border Studies Advisory Board held its annual meeting November 2-4th in El Paso and Juárez.

Steve Volk (Oberlin), Cristina, the host family coordinator, and Laurel share some pre-dinner conversation.

After dinner, the group headed over to FloHo, the Border Studies new office in El Paso. Trey from Denison had the chance to learn about fellow Denisonian Naina's experience on the program.

Eva enlightens Howard, her Earlham professor about her field study at Las Americas, an immigrant advocacy center in El Paso.

Old friends Cristina and Gypsy get a chance to reconnect. Gypsy, former resident director worked with Cristina for 7 years!

Gypsy was estatic to visit with Daniella, another host mom and Rachel, a former participant and current Program Associate on-site.

Laurel must also enlighten Howard about the complexities of the border.
