Short Term Seminars

The Border Studies Program is pleased to offer short term seminars to EL Paso/Juárez area during the spring and summer terms for interested classes and groups. Please contact the Border Studies staff for more information.

This past year, Border Studies hosted groups from Kansas University, Avalon High School, Davidson University, Lewis and Clark University, and Connecticut College. Check out some of the scenes below.

Lewis and Clark University

The L and C group begins their week on the border. Seven students enrolled in a "Borderlands" course at Lewis and Clark set out to listen to and experience the border for seven days.

In addition to Casa Puente, Border Studies staff can arrange home stays for short-term immersion groups.
For the Lewis and Clark students, Casa Puente provided a space for them to come together after working at field sites and both process and reflect upon their experiences.
