Browsing the Web Homework

Help! Animated images don’t animate in my Netscape browser. What preference or setting would
you change to fix this? (2 points)
Ans:Go to edit preferences: then go to privacy & security, then go images and change it to accept all images in the first box.

What is the full file path where the netscape preferences get stored for your own username? Paste
this into your blog. Hint: do a search for prefs.js. (4 points)

No effort at all it is at the top of the page like most search bars.

Add a picture file to an existing entry (Upload Pics Continued)

Step one if i have a file that already has writing in it and i want to edit it and place an image with it without creating a new entry what do i do

Step 1: After logging in to weblog manager go to post, and then hit the upload file tab.
Step 2: Press the browse button and find a picture which you wish to add (it must be in a pulishible format; gif, jpeg, etc)
Step 3: Select ""
Step 4: Then press upload
Step 5: Choose Show me HTML and select either pop up or embedded
(embedded will make the pic visible on arriving at the site while pop up will make it a link)
Step 6: Cut the command that is in the box
Step 7: Paste the command and save

Don't you just love being able to do all these niffty little tricks like adding sweet lillte pix to your site. Do you want to learn how to do this??? Hit the link under the picture.

First of all you can either embed and image or make it a pop up image. These directions will show you how to do both.


Step 1: After logging in to weblog manager go to post, and then hit the upload file tab.

Step 3: Select Local path site Step 4: Then press upload
Step 5: Choose create new entry, this feature allows you to make the file part of a brand new entry, and select either pop up or embedded
(embedded will make the pic visible on arriving at the site while pop up will make it a link)
step 6:copy and paste all text in teh box to the new entry. and your image has been downloaded.
BE SURE TO SAVE WHEN DONE

Difference between extended and regular entry: The difference between extended entry and regular entry is the amount of options and the tool that are at your hands. Not only does it give more to work with but... it also allows you to keep the reader in suspens and or make the only thing visible a summary. It acts sort of as a link to more information.
