What is Yoga? “Yoga” means union, the connecting of mind, body and spirit. This may be seen in the practice of concentration: doing one thing at a time, rather than ten things at once. Practice typically increases awareness of the relation between mind and body. This may heal problems that were caused by “doing” without thinking. Yoga offers a range of practices ranging from gentle physical exercise for beginners or those with injuries to more intensive exercises and meditative practices for those who are more physically advanced and mentally disciplined.
