Check-in: June 19 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Check-out: July 2 at 10:00 a.m.
During the summer and early fall, Richmond, Indiana
is on Central time.
Deadline for application: June 3, 2005
Cost
$1,450 for tuition, room, board, and two semester hours of college
credit upon successful completion of the course. Books, supplies,
and off-campus activities are extra. A $25 late fee will be added
to applications received after June 3, 2005.
Any student who successfully
completes an Explore-A-College course and eventually enrolls in
the College receives a credit toward
Earlham’s tuition. This credit equals one-half of the EAC
tuition the student paid.
Deposit
A $50 non-refundable deposit is due with your application. This
deposit is applied toward your Explore-A-College tuition.
Financial Aid
Financial aid is very limited and based on academic standing and
need. To apply, you must contact the Director of Summer Studies
for information and an application. When applying, please include
a copy of the parents’ 2004 IRS Tax Return with the application
form. The financial aid application deadline for EAC 2005 is May
6, 2005. Students applying for financial aid assistance MUST first
be accepted into EAC 2005.
Accommodations
Explore-A-College students are housed in an Earlham residence
hall. Earlham College students serve as hall counselors and teaching
assistants.
Class Size
Limited; classes fill on a first-come, first-served basis.
Transportation
Upon request, students may be met at the international airport
in Dayton, Ohio, or at the Greyhound bus station in Richmond,
Indiana, and transported to and from campus at no cost.
