Monty Python alumnus Terry Gilliam directed and co-wrote this dazzlingly different look at the horror of things to come. Jonathan Pryce stars as an unambitious civil servant who sees himself as a winged superhero soaring through the clouds to Xavier Cugat's "Brazil." But in reality, he is just a peon being crushed by the state—a system he had never dreamt of questioning.
