Movie Review: The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
If you recognize that
what you see on the screen is not meant to be true to life you
will love this movie. Most critics seem not to recognize that
this is true fiction and criticize its fantasy. When the main
characters include a vampiress, Dr. Jekyll and and invisible man
do you really expect them to truely depict the world the characters
are set in?
Without ruining the movie for those
who haven't seen it, I can say that if you are looking for a lot
of action and fast-paced fun... this is the movie to see (though
I can also recommend Pirates of the Caribbean: the Curse of the
Black Pearl)
At any rate, I thought
it was 110 minutes and $6.00 well spent on good old fashioned
fun. The ending obviously leaves the possibility of a sequel so
I expect more of this super powered mayhem and action soon

Now that I have had
my say, here's what another who saw LXG had to say about it:
"A fast- paced,
action-packed drama chock full of witty banter; set in an unrealistic
past. Sure to please the indiscriminating."
-Hillary
Dishmon
"I thought
that it needed more action, but it was a good movie. I liked the
way it portrayed the charachters from literature."
-Tessa Bricker
"A trilling
tale of mystery intreging suspense that leaves one tingling with
anticipation of each character's next move. Two thumbs up!"
