In describing myself I would say
that I am a jack of all trades, but I hope that the rest of the expression
is not true. That is I hope I have mastered a few things in my 50 plus
years. I do admit that I wear quite a few "hats" --maybe too many.
I am a specialist on multicultural campus ministry. I teach courses
from time to time at Earlham. And I am the chair of the Human
Rights Commission
in the city of Richmond. If you live in the city
and have a human rights question or complaint email
us.
I have a great and talented family. My wife is a professor here
at Earlham College. My daughter, Rachel, is working in NY city as a make
up specialist for a costume and theatre support store. My son, Daniel recently
graduated from Earlham College. He is now working in Philadelphia, doing
a research internship for training for change --a social change organization.

The unexpected Person
In the unexpected place
A look into the eyes
Of the unexpected face
Down a dirty alley
Urination on the stairs
A rat infested corner
Beyond your disapated cares
Where the dealers dealt their smack
And the prostitutes once whored
A young forgotten mother
Rocks her baby, Christ the Lord
