ACM Guide to Computing Literature
Search 750,000+ citations from publishers in the field of computer science, including the ACM and IEEE. This service leads you to citations and reveiws of the items included, but NOT THE FULLTEXT.

ACM Computing Reviews
Full text of survey papers giving overviews of computing science topics. Password needed for fulltext access.

Academic Search Premier
Comprehensive index to scholarly journals and general periodicals in all subject and interdisciplinary areas, including full text. Coverage prior to 1990 is sparse. Can be searched simultaneously with General Science Abstracts.

General Science Abstracts
Indexes periodicals on astronomy, biology, chemistry, earth sciences, math, medicine, and physics, 1983 to present. Can be searched simultaneously with Academic Search Premier.

JSTOR
JSTOR stands for Journal Storage. Full text of hundreds of scholarly journals in all disciplines dating back to the 1700s. The database stores the older issues only and each journal stops 3 to 5 years from the current year.

CiteSeer / ResearchIndex
Provides citation indexing of electronically available preprints, mostly in Computer Science. Includes many articles that have appeared in refereed journals, but also some that never will. Users are responsible for verifying the quality but the citation indexing helps.

MathSciNet
Produced by the American Mathematical Association, this databases indexes international literature on mathematics, statistics, and computer science, as well as their applications to a broad range of other disciplines.

Web of Knowledge
Keyword and citation indexing of major journals across scientific and non-scientific disciplines, 1981 to present. This database includes Science Citation Index, Arts & Humanities Citation Index, Social Sciences Citation Index, BIOSIS, and Medline.

O'Reilly Open Books
Digital versions of computer science related books that have open copyright. About 50 books represented.

Dictionary of Units
Provides a summary of most of the units of measurement in use today, along with the appropriate conversions needed to change them into standard units of the SI system. Includes access to 40 different calculators for automatic conversions, and a printable pocket guide listing the most common conversion units.

IEEE Xplore 2.1
Provides access to index of articles covering electrical engineering, computer science, and electronics. Contains full text documents from IEEE and IET (Institution of Engineering and Technology) publications. Please note that Earlham does not have full-text access to this service, but guests can search for free. Users with personal IEEE passwords should be able to access full-text materials.

IEEE History Center
A division of IEEE devoted to the preservation, research and promotion of the history of information and electrical technologies. Includes the IEEE archives (unpublished records and historical photographs) and oral histories. Much of the material is available free in full text. NOTE: users must return to the main search screen to conduct additional searches, instead of using the search bar on the results screen.

EContentMag.com
The free online companion to EContent magazine. Provides access to a selected portion of content from the online and print subscription magazine.

AI Topics
Offers non-technical, annotated resources for those who want to learn what AI is and what AI scientists do. Provided by The Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence.

Scitopia.org
Search over 3 million documents, plus patents and government data. Most atricles require a login to access, but when free full text access is available, it is provided.

Google Scholar
Provides access to search across disciplines and sources for scholarly information. Many items may require log in to access full text.

ArXiv
Searchable access to nearly half a million open access (free full text) e-prints in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Quantitative Biology and Statistics

TechXtra in Engeineering, Mathematics, and Computing
