Although you may use any resource or service you find on the Libraries' website, this particular page links to information of special relevance or help to ESR and Bethany students.
Library Card
At your earliest convenience (the first or second day you're on campus is a good idea), take your Earlham Security-generated ID card to the Lilly Library circulation desk. We will attach a barcode to and enter it into our system, after which it will function as your library card. If, as an Access or Connections student, you are not on campus before you need to check out books, let the staff know that you need a library card during the first time you use the Document Delivery system, and we will create and send one to you.
Renewing Books Online
Acquaint yourself with the circulation and fine policies. Be aware that you can view what you have checked out, and renew your books online.
Document Delivery http://www.earlham.edu/library/content/resources/seminaries/delivery.html
If you live far from campus (more than about an hour and a half away), we can mail books and article photocopies to you via this service. If you are on campus at least twice a month, it might be easier just to use the library in person.
InterLibrary Loan http://www.earlham.edu/library/content/services/interlibrary/index.html
This is the service by which we can borrow books from other libraries for you, and get copies of journal articles from them. Please do not use this service to acquire required course readings. For students at a distance, please note that we cannot borrow books from other libraries for you, then send them to you through the mail.
Don't hesitate to explore the website or contact library staff members for more help!
