Conceal last year's course

When sophmores, juniors and seniors access Moodle again in the new academic year (05-06) they will see all the courses they were enrolled in last year, unless something is done! You can easily fix this by unenrolling students from last year's course. Here's how:

  1. Login to Moodle and open your course from last year (in category 2004-05 : [division])
  2. You'll need to use the Administration block. If this is not visible (scroll down the browser window to check), then do the following:
    1. Turn editing on
    2. In Blocks pull down Add —> Administration
    3. Administration block appears.
  3. Click Administration: students
  4. Select all the enrolled students:
    1. click the topmost name
    2. holding the [Shift] key down click the name at the bottom of the list. You may have to scroll down to see this. {Mac users should use the [Shift] key in the same way}
  5. Click the —> button to unenroll.
  6. You will now see 0 enrolled students.
  7. You may wish to make the course unavailable to students.
    1. Choose Administration : Setup
    2. Choose Availability : This course is unavailable to students
    3. Save changes.
