From Scott Tomlinson,  Japan Studies major (STomlinson@global.t-bird.edu) who took management independent studies courses, and entered Thunderbird, the top ranked internaional business program after two years of teaching English with the Earlham SICE Program:

All is very well in Phoenix and grad school  is really testing my ability of time management.  I am enrolled in 4 classes...Accounting, Intern. Political Econ., Intern. Marketing Management, and Micro/Macro.  We are having midterms for some of them now, and I think I am prepared.  Plus I am on the clubs for ICO, Net Impact, Hong Kong, and Japan (Treasurer), which takes up a ton of time.  A career fair was today as well, and I am off to Boston on the 21st for the Japanese one.  I have already sent out resumes for internships this summer.  I talked to a guy from GM's Saturn Corp. today and he seemed impressed with the work we did earlier with consensus.  If you have any contacts in this area, I would be most appreciative.  Thanks, always for your help.  If you have any students that are interested in what I am doing or T-bird, send them my way.

.... I took the LSAT's on Saturday.  They
were really hard, but it is something I have always wanted to pursue.  The
funny thing about the test though, was the writing sample that we had to
attach to the test.  It was exactly like something we have done in our
management classes!  It gave a scenario with a couple of possible
directions to lean towards, and we had to choose one and support our
decision with sound reasons.
