Jay's Trail Pictures
During Jay's many-month-long hike up the Appalachian Trail, he periodically sends a small memory card back to civilization. I humbly present the images gleaned from those bits of data in this archive. To read Jay's actual notes on the journey, check out his Trail Journal.
- The first set, which was posted on April 7th, 2005. The beginning of Jay's trek is shown here.
- The second set, which was posted on April 28th, 2005. Here we see North Carolina and Tennessee. There's also a horse. I'm waiting to hear that story.
- The third set, which was posted on May 12th, 2005 and hand-delivered by Jay to myself not a day before. Turtles abound.
- The fourth set, which was posted late, but received on June 12th - exactly one month's worth.
- The fifth set, also late (my apologies). Includes a lot of really great photography, quite a few happy people, and mud.
- The sixth set, posted just after the Fourth. Looks like rocks have replaced the mud, and the Northeast is looking mighty fine. This might even be the last set, as I hear something's wrong with the camera...
- The seventh set, which is hopefully in the correct order. Jay brought this one back himself, and passed it on to me for posting. The end of the journey is here.
