Adventure Courses
On-Campus Connections
The Wilderness Program offers a variety of adventure courses that supplement and broaden your knowledge and skills in the outdoors. AWPE courses offer a chance to increase your technical skills in a variety of outdoor pursuits.
AWPE Courses
The AWPE (Athletic, Wellness, and Physical Education) requirement at Earlham involves taking four courses-each with no fewer than 20 hours of course related physical activity. The Wilderness Program offers a wide range of AWPE courses for all interest and ability levels. Taught by Earlham students, Wilderness AWPE's are an incredible opportunity to try new skills, explore more of the surrounding area, and learn from your peers.
Opportunities also exist to teach AWPE courses for the Wilderness Program. These courses offer a unique chance to develop your leadership and teaching skills as a student of outdoor education.
