Article on OA (for now) interdisciplinary journal

Catherine Brahic, New journal crosses disciplines, the Scientist, May 14, 2004. Brahic reports on the Royal Society of London's new journal Interface, which will publish papers "relating to both physics and the life sciences." The journal posted its first paper last week and is freely accessible for 2004, but no subscription policy has been determined for thereafter. Comparisons to the IoP's PhysicalBiology (also offering one year free access, but will switch to subscription in 2005) are included. Doubts about the utility of printing the journal are expressed.
