A web page summarizing a model that Brian has been describing and defending in recent messages to SOAF and other listservs. Excerpt: 'The idea is that institutions may be willing to pay for such enhanced features [to an otherwise OA journal] as: additional content (including e.g. news, or links to online reference resources); citing/cited reference capabilities of the kind discussed here; email alerting services; searchable abstracting and indexing; direct linkages to citation management software; analyze capabilities; graphical displays of conceptual relationships between articles; cross-reference linking; and "mark and email" (or print) capabilities.
