The CINF E-news is now an open access publication. In August the Executive Committee felt that the E-News would help the Division reach out to other chemical information professionals.
(PS: This is the shortest announcement I've seen by a journal or newsletter converting to OA. Nevertheless, kudos to the ACS, which publishes the newsletter, for recognizing that OA to chemical information is a good way to "reach out to...chemical professionals." That's why the NIH provides OA to PubChem.)

I recommend the OA tracking project (OATP) as the best way to stay on top of new OA developments. You can read the OATP feed on a blog-like web page or subscribe to it by RSS, email, or Twitter. You can also help build the feed by tagging new developments you encounter.
