Forthcoming OA journal from AIP
Biomicrofluidics is a forthcoming peer-reviewed, OA journal from the American Institute of Physics. (Thanks to George Porter.) From the site:
As an electronic-only, open access journal with rapid publication time, Biomicrofluidics will be responsive to the rapid developments expected in this field. The interdisciplinary approach inherent in biomicrofluidics research draws scientists from diverse fields — engineering, physics, materials science, chemistry, and biology. It will start accepting submissions on July 6, 2006, and the first issue should appear by January 2007. From yesterday's press release: The American Institute of Physics (AIP) announced today that Prof. Hsueh-Chia Chang has accepted the position of Editor of AIP's new rapid-publication, open access journal, Biomicrofluidics. Dr. Chang is Bayer Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and Director of the Center for Microfluidics and Medical Diagnostics at the University of Notre Dame.... Update.
